Why Boston DREAM Academy?

The are many outstanding educational institutions in our area (Boston is known as the Intellectual Capital of America), but there isn’t another school like Boston DREAM Academy.

Community

We have a strong collaborative school community where students are involved in community outreach activities, classes at local universities, sitting in on Harvard University lectures, study tours, physical fitness, life skills, music and interscholastic athletics.

Academics

Our accredited online curriculum offers more than 300 quality AP, honors and STEAM courses including entrepreneurship, screenwriting, forensic science, nuclear physics, marine biology, and so much more. Student success and the ability to master concepts is ensured through our complementary tutoring program.

In addition to the 21st-Century E-Learning Model, we care for the social and emotional well-being of our students and help them grow in their faith. We offer a diverse, rigorous, academic environment that fosters scholastic and college preparedness. We promote collaboration and student mentorship.

Admissions Policy

Boston DREAM Academy welcomes students and families who are committed to academic excellence, Christian values, and active participation in our school community. We admit qualified students without regard to race, color, national or ethnic origin in the administration of our educational policies, admissions process, scholarship programs, and other school-administered activities.

As a Christian school, we warmly welcome families from all faith backgrounds who respect and support the mission, values, and expectations of Boston DREAM Academy.

Admission is based on a holistic review of each applicant and available space.

Note that it’s a policy of Boston DREAM Academy that no student will be denied admission due to their financial circumstance. Tuition assistance is based on financial need and determined individually for each student.

Important Admissions Information

The Boston DREAM Academy does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, nationality or ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admission policies and all the rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school.

Tuition

Tuition for the 2023-2024 academic year is $8,718.

Admissions Process: How Do I Apply?

To submit an application for your child(ren), follow the steps below. If at any time you have questions, don’t hesitate to reach out to admin@bostondreamacademy.org for help!

Step 1

Submit an Application

Complete the online application through TAD’s (click the button below).

  • New Families: Follow the prompts to create an account.
  • Returning Families: Please reset your password if needed.

Once logged in, complete the Enrollment Application.

Prospective students must also complete the required Student Questionnaire as part of the application process.

Step 2

Admissions Interviews

After the application is received, the family will be invited to participate in an admissions interview.

The admissions process includes:

  • A joint conversation with the parent(s)/guardian(s) and prospective student.
  • A private meeting with the parent(s)/guardian(s).
  • A private meeting with the prospective student.

These conversations provide an opportunity for the school and family to get to know one another, discuss educational goals and expectations, answer questions openly, and determine whether Boston DREAM Academy is the right fit for the student and family.

Step 3

Admissions Decision

Following review of the application and interviews, families will be notified of the school’s admissions decision.

Acceptance is based on factors including academic readiness, alignment with the school’s mission, values, expectations, and available space.

Step 4

Registration Fee

Upon acceptance, families must submit the required registration fee to reserve the student’s place.

Registration fees are non-refundable after fourteen (14) days.

Step 5

Academic Planning

Before enrollment is finalized, the student and family will meet with school staff to review transcripts, select courses, and develop an individualized academic plan.

High school students will receive a graduation plan designed to ensure they meet all Boston DREAM Academy and Massachusetts graduation requirements.

Step 6

Financial Aid (Optional)

Families seeking tuition assistance must create an account with TAD’s Financial Aid (click the button below) and complete the Financial Aid Application, providing all requested supporting documentation.

  • Returning Families: Please reset your password if needed.

Once the application has been reviewed, the family will meet with the school’s Financial Manager to discuss any financial assistance awarded and finalize tuition arrangements.

Step 7

Mandatory Student Orientation

All admitted students (both new and returning) are required to attend the school’s week-long orientation program during the last week of August, prior to the start of classes on the Wednesday following Labor Day.

This orientation introduces students to one another, school policies, academic expectations, technology platforms, and the Boston DREAM Academy culture.

Step 8

Mandatory Parent Orientation

At least one parent or guardian is required to attend a mandatory three-hour Parent Orientation prior to the beginning of the school year.

This session provides important information regarding school policies, communication procedures, academic expectations, and opportunities for family involvement. Most importantly, it helps build trust and often provides valuable insight into how Boston DREAM Academy can best support each student’s success.

Step 9

Mandatory Parent Orientation

At least one parent or guardian is required to attend a mandatory three-hour Parent Orientation prior to the beginning of the school year.

This session provides important information regarding school policies, communication procedures, academic expectations, and opportunities for family involvement. Most importantly, it helps build trust and often provides valuable insight into how Boston DREAM Academy can best support each student’s success.

Enrollment Completion

Enrollment is considered complete only after:

  • All required forms have been submitted.
  • Applicable fees have been paid, or payment arrangements have been finalized.
  • All required orientation sessions have been completed.

Parent Enrollment & Registration Checklist

We recognize that the application process can be tedious at times. To help make enrollment as smooth as possible, we have provided the following checklist. Please review each item carefully to ensure that all admissions, registration, financial, health, and orientation requirements have been completed before the first day of orientation.

Admissions

  • Complete the online application through TADS.
  • Ensure the prospective student completes the Student Questionnaire.
  • Attend the admissions interview with your student.
  • Participate in the separate parent discussion.
  • Ensure your student participates in the separate student meeting.
  • Receive official notification of admission.

Registration

  • Pay the required registration fee to reserve your student's place.
  • Submit all requested enrollment forms and documentation.
  • Provide official transcripts and academic records from previous schools.
  • Provide up-to-date immunization and health records as required.
  • Submit any court-issued custody, guardianship, or other legal documentation affecting the student's care or educational decision-making, if applicable.

Academic Planning

  • Meet with school staff to review transcripts and select courses.
  • Finalize your student's individualized academic plan.
  • For high school students, review and approve the graduation plan.

Financial Aid (If Applying)

  • Complete the TAD’s Financial Aid Application.
  • Submit all required supporting financial documents.
  • Meet with the Financial Manager to review your financial aid award and finalize tuition arrangements.

Health & Emergency Information

  • Inform the school of any medical, physical, emotional, behavioral, or educational needs that may affect your student's well-being or learning.
  • Provide allergy information and emergency contact details.
  • Submit any required medication authorization forms.

Orientation

  • Ensure your student attends the mandatory week-long Student Orientation.
  • Attend the mandatory Parent Orientation session.

Before the First Day of School

  • Review the Parent and Student Handbook with your child.
  • Understand and agree to the school's policies and expectations.
  • Obtain the required school uniform and supplies.
  • Verify transportation arrangements and arrival/dismissal procedures.
  • Save important school contact information for future reference.
